Our experienced fitting team started in 1959 on an American system called 'Smooth Edge for a Smooth Fit' in the UK it was taken up as gripper rods; moving away from tack and turn and ring and pin. Ronnie Byrom and Tony Hyland were the first to use the system in Kendal and the surrounding areas. Tony Hyland is still giving advice and experience to the family firm and the 4th generation of Byrom's fitting team.
